Electronic Prescription Service now Available.

We are now able to send repeat and acute prescriptions electronically directly to your nominated pharmacy. This means that you know longer need to come to the surgery to pick up your repeat prescription, you can go directly to the pharmacy and pick it up from there. Please inform reception of your nominated pharmacy. 

Unfortunately we cannot accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone as this could cause errors.

On registering with Upper Halliford Medical Centre all patients are assigned a General Practitioner who is Dr. Kamil. Any queries please ask at the Reception desk.

Blood Tests

blood_tests_4A blood test is when a sample of blood is taken for testing in a laboratory. Blood tests have a wide range of uses and are one of the most common types of medical test. For example, a blood test can be used to:

  • assess your general state of health
  • confirm the presence of a bacterial or viral infection
  • see how well certain organs, such as the liver and kidneys, are functioning
A blood test usually involves the phlebotomist taking a blood sample from a blood vessel in your arm. and the usual place for a sample is the inside of the elbow or wrist, where the veins are relatively close to the surface. Blood samples for children 16 years and under can only being taken at the hospital.  Please call the hospital to book an appointment, details below:
